The principal current legislation is the Danish Insurance Contracts Act 2006, a consolidation of earlier insurance contracts legislation.

(The official versions of all new statutory laws appear in the official journal Lovtidende A, published every Tuesday and Friday. The laws are available directly online from the database on http://www.retsinfo.dk/. This database, administered by the same authority that publishes Lovtidende, was established in 1985 and contains all Danish rules and regulations.)

A full English translation is attached of the earlier 1930 Danish Contracts of Insurance Act much of which is retained in the latest legislation.
